Cleaning Power: How effectively can the vacuum remove pet hair, crumbs, dust and other particles? Does it work better on one surface or another? Does it work equally well on carpets with a lot of shaggy hair and hardwood floors? Does it work effectively in giving carpets with thick piles a deep clean?
User-friendliness: Does the vacuum weigh too much to carry around or is it light and simple to use. If it comes with wheels, do they become stuck or smoothly turn and pivot? Do they allow access to tiny spaces, like behind couches or under furniture? If it’s powered by batteries is one battery able to last long enough for a full cleaning? Does the cord have enough length? Is the cord long enough for vacuuming a large area? What are the ergonomics of the handle? Do you find it comfortable to hold?
